BRIAN & CHRIS

Brian has been a radio personality for over 32 years and has actually partied with some of the classic rock bands played on the show! However, it’s hard to remember most of what happened—“it was great to be young in the 70’s hangin’ out backstage!! Sometimes lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time” He still has the roach and chicken bone from AC/DC’s Hells Bells Tour…probably freezer burned by now!

Brian has worked in radio throughout the western states but Montana is home. When he’s not on the radio, he loves to watch NASCAR, Big Bang Theory or working on his own sports cars…always a project of some kind. He enjoys hunting when he gets the time. Brian is also a certified welder and an online Reverend…”Tell me your sins brothers and sisters!”

Chris was born and raised in Montana. Growing up he listened to the radio every day! He mostly listened to Classic Rock. He wanted to one day to be on the radio and connect with people in a little room with a microphone. Thanks to all those jocks that put up with him hounding them to play my song or give him a t-shirt.

He get’s to live my passion of being on a “Classic Rock” station. He’s extremely lucky and grateful to be able to make a career out of being on the radio.

He’s a huge hockey fan (Go Blackhawks), best sport ever to watch live! He plays the tenor drum in The Celtic Dragon Pipe Band, yes a bagpipe band, but of course he doesn’t play the bagpipes, just the drum! He likes a good beer, or even a bad one. He has a thing for bacon and digs Classic Rock.

Catch Brian and Chris weekday mornings, 6a-9a, on the Big Stack.

Cory Wells

When I was 6 years old, I told my babysitter she was going to hear me on the radio someday… she finally believes me! On the air for over 35 years, I still love radio, the music, the listeners & the people I get to work with.

It’s been a pleasure meeting & working with some of my musical idols over the years, including Aerosmith, KISS, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynrd, The Doobie Brothers & others. I also enjoy working with The American Red Cross,  Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The Great Falls Library & MT Special Olympics to name a few.

In my spare time, you can find me playing drums in The Steve Keller Band on weekends, hanging out in The Highwood Mountains, riding my motorbike, playing Frisbee or cruisin’ around in my 1970 Chevelle wagon with the radio up loud!

Catch Cory weekdays 9a-2p on the Big Stack!

Tammie Toren/ The Daughter of Darkness

I was born in Choteau in the ’68 and raised on the family farm.  My family moved to Great Falls in 1984 and I graduated Great Falls High class of ’86.  I grew up listening to KEIN and just knew I’d be the girl that I never heard on the radio.

Before the ink dried on my high school diploma, I met with Kat Phillips at KUDI-AM, and made my appointment at the May School of Broadcasting in Billings the very next day.  I graduated broadcasting school in ’87  (with JD, we’re the only 2 from our class working in broadcasting, and here we are working on The Big Stack) and moved on to working immediately at KOFI in Kalispell writing commercials.  A year and a half, 2 cars and a firing later, Skip Walters gave me my first on-air job at KEIN!  The rest, as they say, is the way the radio dial turns.  I’ve worked in Billings, Kalispell, Great Falls, and for BiCoastal Media, in Oregon.

No matter where I roam, I always end up back in Great Falls.

Catch Tammie weekdays 2p-7p on the Big Stack!

JD

JD is a fourth generation Montanan, having grown up in Geyser on a large scale ranch.

After winning a guest dj contest with KMON AM at just 15, JD attended broadcasting school and took his first job in radio in Great Falls working overnights for KAAK-FM/K99 in 1987.

When not on the air, JD can be found flaying around the local golf courses, or with his wife Diane and two dogs, Kona and Abbey at their favorite campsite in the Highwoods.

Catch JD weeknights, 7-Midnight, on The Big Stack.
