During one of my daily trips down the social media "rabbit hole," I stumbled across a strange video of a guy on a buffalo. A social media group that centers on Montana content had a member share the video claiming it was a tourist being a dummy. I watched in disbelief as I truly thought that it was a random guy riding a giant American bison. So, I decided to look a little further into the video and research its authenticity.

WATCH a man riding a bison in the Bitterroot Valley

When you first watch it, you immediately think that it is completely fake. But, it is actual footage of a guy riding a bison. But, who is it? As it turns out, both the bison and rider are in fact tourists to the state. New Mexico stuntman, Clint Mortenson, filmed the footage during a trip to Darby, MT. The bison that is featured in the video is Clint's pal Clyde. Clyde is a bull bison that Clint has raised from a calf. According to his Facebook page, Clint used to be a stuntman for Disney, and Clyde is part of the team.

Clint's Facebook also shows a bunch of pictures of him posing at the "Yellowstone Dutton Ranch," in Darby.

This video and photos lead me to speculate that bison will be part of the upcoming episodes of season 5 of "Yellowstone." Is Clyde going to star in an upcoming episode? Does the bunkhouse plan on another late-night "buffalo ride" much like they did in Season 3 Episode 6 "All or Nothing"? In this episode, the bunkhouse was inspired by the following viral video based off of an old 70s western film.
