Montana Is Getting A Seriously Fancy Food Festival

Big Sky is already considered Montana's fanciest community, but apparently it wasn't fancy enough.

That's because they're now bringing some of the biggest culinary names in the world to Montana for an entirely new food festival.

Big Sky Food & Wine Festival Brings Celebrity Chefs To Montana

According to Outside, the first-ever Big Sky Food & Wine Festival is happening September 24th through the 26th, bringing more than 40 chefs, winemakers, sommeliers, and spirits experts to Montana.

The lineup includes celebrity chef Ming Tsai, who is hosting the festival, along with Michelin-starred and James Beard Award-winning chefs like Nancy Silverton and Marc Forgione.

Montana will even have some representation, with our own Eduardo Garcia, the owner of MontanaMex, joining the lineup.

And that's just the guests. The location itself is enough to make this thing feel pretty exclusive.

The Yellowstone Club, which is about as exclusive as it gets in Montana, will host a VIP BBQ as one of the opening events.

Big Sky Food Festival Tickets Cost Up To $2,000

The weekend will also feature big tasting events, cooking demonstrations, wine, Montana-made beer and spirits, live music, and some seriously fancy dinners.

Of course, something this fancy also comes with a price tag to match.

Outside reports that general admission starts at $600 for a single day, while VIP passes run $1,200 for one day or $2,000 for the entire weekend.

If I had to guess, most Montanans would rather spend $10 on a wristband, a cold beer, and some funnel cake and, in the end, call it a good day.
