Great Falls KOA Named One Of The Best In America
Great Falls KOA Receives Good News With Major Awards
Tucked back in the woods just off 10th Ave S, on the east end of Great Falls, is a hidden gem of the Electric City.
There you will find the Great Falls KOA Holiday campground, and they have reason to be celebrating lately.
Great Fall KOA Holiday campground was recently the recipient of not one, but two major awards that highlight just how nice this facility is.
Most people might think that the KOA in Great Falls is just for travelers, but with the cabins at this location, it can be a fun little get away for locals as well.
Just this past summer my family spent a night there and I'd argue that outside of the fair, it was the highlight of my kids summer.
Surprisingly KOA Was Started Right Here In Montana
In 1962 Dave Drum founded the KOA on the banks of the Yellowstone River just outside of Billings when he noticed plenty of travelers in church parking lots or on the side of the road.
Today they honor his legacy with the "KOA Founder’s Award", which is one of the awards the Great Falls KOA recently received.
It is awarded to the KOA owners and managers who "attain world-class scores in both customer service and the KOA Quality Review," according to a press release.
The second award, called the "President's Award", is awarded based on the reviews of KOA campers in regards to their camping experience.
Both awards show the care and attention that the owners have put into their operation and they should be very proud of their accomplishments.
