Montana Weather: Expect The Unexpected
You know how there is a saying in Montana that goes, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it'll change."

Conflicting Winter Forecasts In Montana
Just two weeks ago we detailed the winter forecast that said Montana would be experiencing a "Chill, Snow, Repeat" type of winter with plenty of snow and some of the coldest temperatures in America.
Well, that was the "Farmers' Almanac," which is completely different from the "Old Farmer's Almanac."
I had no idea there were two different almanacs, and guess what? They also have two different winter forecasts for Montana.
Farmers' Almanac vs. Old Farmer's Almanac
Both almanacs have been around for years—the Farmers’ Almanac was founded in 1818, while the Old Farmer’s Almanac was first published in 1792, a whole 26 years earlier.
So now that we have that cleared up, what does the Old Farmer's Almanac predict for Montana this winter?
Given Montana's size, there are actually two distinct forecasts that cover both eastern and western regions of the state, yet both forecasts are quite similar.
What The Old Farmer’s Almanac Predicts For Montana
The forecast indicates warmer temperatures and drier conditions throughout most of the state; however, regions in the western half, particularly near the Idaho border, may receive more snowfall.
They also say Montana could experience a late winter this year, so don't put those snow shovels away too soon.
