The Freedom Of Road Trips

In my younger days, when I had more freedom, meaning I didn't have kids yet, I loved just hopping in the car and taking a road trip.

Whether you have a destination in mind or it is just about the drive itself, Montana is a great state for road trips, but it's also home to one of the riskiest in America.

Montana’s Most Dangerous Roads

When it comes to dangerous stretches of highway, we've got more than a handful of them in the state.

US Highway 93 is so scary that people have sold bumper stickers with the slogan "Pray For Me I Drive 93," and there's even a song about it as well.

US Highway 2 is considered the most dangerous road in America due to its high fatality rate and long wait times for emergency services.

However, Gunther Mitsubishi says it's an altogether different stretch of road in Montana that they claim poses the biggest risk to drivers.

Gunther Mitsubishi Names The Riskiest Montana Road Trip

Long considered one of the most scenic drives in America, the Going-to-the-Sun Road is also very risky due to its lack of guardrails, narrow lanes with sharp turns, and extreme elevation.

Gunther Mitsubishi says that the Going-to-the-Sun Road is the 11th riskiest road trip route in America.
