Finding A Free Private Wedding Venue In Great Falls Is Easy

Montana has no shortage of beautiful venues where you can get married. With places like Glacier, and Yellowstone, the “Big Sky State” is a popular destination for weddings.

Most venues have some sort of fee requirement for rental of their space, but one place allows rental and use of the facility for nothing.

A Beautiful Venue AND It Was Free

Located on the Missouri river, Ryan Dam is about 10 miles away from Great Falls and features a gorgeous view for wedding photos as well as a place outside and inside that you can host a wedding ceremony or reception.

The Picnic area is open to the public Mother’s Day through Labor Day during daylight hours and reservations are not required but would be beneficial for a wedding ceremony.

The Clubhouse however does require a reservation but is no cost to reserve. The reception hall has almost everything you need including a kitchen, bathrooms and even cleaning supplies.

My husband and I had our wedding reception-a year after we got married-and decided to rent the Clubhouse at Ryan Dam.

Our wedding ceremony at Giant Springs was small in 2022 and in July 2023 my husband and I were lucky enough to spend our first anniversary at the Clubhouse with family and friends.

The only downside was it was over 90 degrees outside and there was no Air conditioning in the Clubhouse, so it did get very warm very quickly.

Reservations can be months or even years out depending on their availability so its best to call.

A Place To Celebrate For Free, But There Are Other Expenses

While there are no fees to use the Clubhouse, there are other fees associated like finding tables and chairs, food and other typical wedding expenses that some venues include in their prices like the Newberry’s fee including the space, tables and chairs-fully decorated, and options of caterers.

Whether it is Ryan Dam, The Newberry, Giant Springs, Boulder Ridge or the Columbus Chapel, Great Falls holds many places where a wedding or any type of party can happen!
