Montana Law Enforcement Capture National Fugitive in Wild Pursuit
If there's one thing I've learned about Montana law enforcement, it's they're not afraid to do whatever it takes to bring criminals to justice.
That's exactly what happened when several law enforcement Montana agencies brought a dangerous fugitive to justice.
Wanted Fugitive Leads Montana Law Enforcement on Wild Chase
In a post shared on Wednesday afternoon, Fergus County Sheriff's Office announced the capture of a wanted fugitive out of Oklahoma.
"This morning, The Fergus County Sheriffs Office, a long with BLM Law Enforcement, Probation & Parole, US Customs & Border Protection Air & Marine Operations Helicopter assisted the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force on an operation," Fergus County Sheriff's Office said in their post.
"Information was received that a wanted male from Oklahoma with 2 nationwide warrants was in our area."

As you'd expect, law enforcement didn't waste time and sprang into action. This led authorities on a dangerous chase that began with the suspect using his vehicle as a weapon.
"As law enforcement entered the area of the suspects location he ran to a vehicle and attempted to flee, in the process, ramming a Fergus County Deputy’s vehicle who was trying to block him in," Fergus County Sheriff's office said. "A vehicle pursuit began, lasting an hour, mostly off-road through fields and farmland."
Thankfully, authorities got an assist from the Montana landscape and things didn't get worse.
"Eventually, the suspect attempted to drive through the river and became stuck. The suspect exited the vehicle and was taken into custody."
Montana Law Enforcement Does It Again
Fergus County Sheriff's Office says there will be more charges coming for the suspect but wow! Imagine how much worse this could have gotten for both parties involved. Kudos to the quick thinking of law enforcement and thank goodness for the Montana landscape!

Fergus County Sheriff's Office also extended a special thanks to Central Montana Dispatch.
