Montana Officials Seek Answers After Illegal Elk Killing
If you're going to live in Montana and enjoy all that it has to offer, the least you can do is respect Montana. Now, it should be obvious that I'm not talking to everyone, only a select a few and in particular, the person (or persons) responsible for another illegal killing in Montana.
Montana Fish, Wildlife, & Parks Needs Answers
Officials with Montana FWP are seeking information from the public about a shooting that took place on private land between Sunday night and Monday morning.
"Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks wardens are seeking the public’s help in gathering information regarding the shooting of a cow elk on private land approximately two miles south of Polebridge near the North Fork Road in Flathead County," Montana FWP wrote in their post.
"The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between late Sunday night and early Monday morning. The cow elk was discovered shot and left to waste."

It's pretty disappointing to hear people have the audacity to commit such a vile act, and then do so on someone else's private land. According to Montana legislation, restitution for killing and wasting an "elk, caribou, bald eagle, black bear, wolf, or moose" is about $1,000.
Montana FWP Is Offering A Reward For Information
"FWP is urging anyone who saw suspicious activity in the North Fork area, or who has information about the potential person or persons responsible, to report the information," Montana FWP said in their post. They also added that tips can remain anonymous and if you're the one who helps them crack the case, there could be a reward up to $1,000 in it for you.
If you know the person or people behind this incident, you're encouraged to contact authorities at 406-249-6231 or visit them online HERE.
