In my opinion, Great Falls is an incredible place to call home.

And trust me when I say that if I didn't feel that way, I'd move!

A while back, I came across an article titled "8 Reasons to Move To Great Falls" by Livability Magazine.

For the most part, I agree with their assessment.

However, there are a few things I'm not entirely in line with.

Here's a rundown of their points, along with my thoughts.

  1. Discover Year-Round Adventure: Great Falls offers abundant opportunities for adventure, from trails and river activities to skiing and sightseeing.
  2. Great Falls Invests In Its People: While there are some concerns about wages being relatively low, the city fosters community involvement through a strong network of nonprofits.
  3. You Can Afford to Live in Great Falls: Generally true, as Great Falls remains reasonably priced compared to other areas in the state.
  4. Find Fabulous Fun Year-Round: This point seems redundant, as it overlaps with the first reason.
  5. Locate Your Perfect Home Here: Similar to affordability, finding a suitable home in Great Falls is within reach for many.
  6. Take Your Pick of Shopping Options: Apart from local shops, the city lacks major retail chains offering diverse products.
  7. Businesses Want to Relocate to Great Falls: Great Falls presents untapped potential, making it attractive for companies looking to establish a presence.
  8. A Great Place to Make an Impact: True to its word, Great Falls provides ample opportunities for individuals looking to contribute to the community.

Ultimately, whether Great Falls is the right fit for someone depends on personal preferences.

If it's not your cup of tea, that's okay—every town has its appeal.
