Montana's outdoors enthusiasts, get ready!

March 1st marks the start of the 2024 hunting, fishing, and conservation license season.

This date opens the window for purchasing licenses and applying for permits, with a deadline for deer and elk permits on April 1st.

Starting March 1st, hunters can apply for various species permits online, including deer, elk, moose, and more.

A new feature allows for easy reapplication for last year's offerings.

Licenses and permits can be obtained online from 5 a.m., with FWP offices open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Video tutorials and a dedicated call center (open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) offer assistance.

Clearer information on bonus points and regulations is provided this year.

The MyFWP mobile app aids in storing licenses and permits for on-the-go access.

Applicants are reminded of the need for Conservation Licenses for state land access.

Montana residents also have chances in a SuperTag lottery, with deadlines for various permits and licenses from March to July.
