The new work involves the areas along 32nd Street North between 1st and 3rd Avenue North in Great Falls.
Crews will be on hand to install a new section of natural gas main beginning on May 4, 2026, with the project expected to last about two weeks. The project is part of an expansion and upgrade of approximately 400ft of 8" gas line to help with and support future growth in the area.
Possible Delays and Detours During the Construction in Great Falls Neighborhood
If you travel this area often, you may encounter delays or even detours during the two weeks of construction. NorthWestern Energy stated through social media that "temporary lane closures, flaggers, and possible detours are expected".
Updates to the gas line service throughout Great Falls will continue through the summer as weather allows. For more information on road closures, check the NorthWestern Energy social media here.
