Final Budget Adoption Meeting for 2026/2027 School Year in Great Falls

Every time I spot the envelope that holds my tax bill, I shudder to think what is inside.  And even when I do finally open it to reveal how much life is going to cost me, I am amazed at how much all of us pay.  Just to wake up.

If you are wondering where some of those dollars and cents of your hard-earned money head off to, a public meeting to answer at least one of those money questions.  The Great Falls Public School District 1 and A final budget approval meeting is coming next week.

Final Budget Adoption Meeting for 2026/2027 School Year in Great Falls

The final budget adoption meeting for GFPS District 1 and A is to be held on Monday August 17, 2026, beginning at 5:30pm.  The meeting will take place at the District Offices Building, Aspen Conference Room, 1100 4th Street South, in Great Falls.

During the meeting, the GFPS Board of Trustees will be considering adoption of the final budgets for all school district budgeted funds for the 2026-27 school year.  An earlier meeting this month was held to finalize the budget process.

This is the Public's Final Chance to Be Heard on Budget for Great Falls Schools

As this is the final meeting to adopt the new budget for the 2026/2027 year, it will be the public's final opportunity to comment for or against and to voice any concerns.  The meeting is open to any taxpayer within the district.
