Montana Farmers Union Scholarship and Grant Applications Available Now

With over 10,000 members and counting, it isn't a surprise that the Montana Farmers Union has been a main staple across the state.  Representing farmers and ranchers, helping to support agriculture through cooperation, legislation and education.

While actively campaigning for those in the agricultural landscape, they also campaign for those rural towns and the next generation of farmers and ranchers in the form of our youth.

Scholarship and Grant Applications Need to Be Filled Out Now

In recent years, the Montana Farmers Union has handed out over $80,000 in scholarships and grants to individuals and towns.  The mission of the MFU is a simple one:

to create new opportunities and to contribute to the growth and enhancement of Montana agriculture and rural communities.

Both youth and communities can apply for these opportunities immediately.  Grants and scholarships range from $500 to $1,500.  There is also a new category to apply for grants.  MFU offers the 4-H Sentence Grants, handing out nearly $10,000 in 2023.  Applications are open soon for another $10,000 in 2024.
