- Data released includes a variety of common communicable diseases including influenza, Covid 19, food or water illnesses and sexually transmitted diseases.
New Report on Common Diseases in Cascade County Released
In a new communicable health report issued by the Cascade County Board of Health (BOH), the county has held somewhat steady in comparison to 2023 numbers. The most recent data dates from November 31, 2024, to January 4, 2025.

The county health department tracks several different and common diseases in Great Falls and the surrounding area including:
- Influenza
- Covid 19
- Norovirus
- Salmonella
- E. coli
The report also includes common sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) that have been reported within the same time frame. Those include:
- Syphilis
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
Which Common Diseases Are on the Rise in Great Falls in 2025?
The report shows that while certain categories are coming down, such as Covid 19 not as prevalent at the end of the year, others such as influenza are on an upwards tick in just a few weeks into 2025.

Reports on STDs within the county also showed similar results with numbers not as high as 2023, but data continued to show that the month of December saw a jump in reported cases.
