Ensuring that your rifle is "on target" for the hunting season can be a tough one to accomplish, unless you have family or friends with land outside of the city to send some rounds towards a target.  Thankfully, Great Falls is home to a complex that opens the gates for everyone this time of year to make sure you and your weapon of choice are in tip top shape.

Sighting in for Hunting Season at Local Great Falls Complex

If you aren't aware, shooting enthusiasts in Great Falls have a complete facility for shooting just outside of the city limits.  The Great Falls Shooting Sports Complex combines 3 different clubs including:

The facility is located at 171 Morony Dam Road and offers members pistol, rifle, shotgun and long-distance shooting areas to hone your skills at.  The complex is usually open year-round from dawn to dusk, with a few exceptions, like severe weather conditions or repairs being made to the area or roadwork.

2 Opportunities for Non-Members to Sight in For the Montana Hunting Season

The facility will be open to the general public to sight in rifles at the 200-yard range on two separate days in the month of October.  Hunters can arrive on Sunday, October 5th or on Saturday, October 18th to shoot without a membership.

Great Falls Shooting Sports Complex will open the gates to the facility from 10am to 4pm both days.  Range Safety Officers will be on hand to run the range and offer help if needed to sight in your rifle.  Eye and ear protection are mandatory at the shooting complex.
