Get ready for an exhilarating experience at the Silver Crest Winter Recreation Area as Get Fit Great Falls collaborates with the U.S. Forest Service to bring back Winter Trails Day 2024 on Saturday, February 3rd, from 9 am to 3 pm.

Activities and Participation

Regardless of age or skill level, there's something for everyone.

Multiple guided snowshoe hike options will be available, including a beginner hike, a one-mile, two-mile, or three-mile hike or snowshoe, and a kid’s hike.

Registration opens on January 17th on the Get Fit Great Falls website. 

Registration is encouraged, especially if you need to borrow equipment.

Bighorn Outdoor Specialists will generously provide snowshoes so participants can explore the stunning trails without any equipment worries.

All activities are free!

Preparation and Recommendations

To make the most of this exciting day, participants are advised to dress warmly in layers, carry a small day pack, and bring their own food and water.

Hot cocoa will be provided and warm up next to a bonfire after your outing! 

Silver Crest Winter Recreation Area is located in the Little Belt Mountains and is roughly a 65-mile drive from Great Falls.

Winter Trails Day 2024 promises a day filled with adventure, camaraderie, and the beauty of the great outdoors.

After Winter Trails Day, prepare for Summer Trails Day 2024, which is always the first Saturday in June.
