Montana Is Pothole Country
Due to our freeze/thaw cycles in Montana, it's kind of a breeding ground for potholes. It wreaks havoc on roads. Which, in turn, can wreak havoc on our vehicles.
Some Parking Lots In Great Falls Seem To Be Pothole Breeding Grounds
Everyone knows about the parking lot on the west side of town. I wrote an article about it a couple of years ago, you can read it here. Great Falls has lost many tiny vehicles and a few hundred tires and even some axels to that parking lot of shame.
What about the Albertson's/Target Shopping Center in Great Falls? For the love of alignments, the middle of this parking lot is brutal. Granted, I just got a new to me vehicle around the first of the year and BRAND NEW tires just a couple of weeks ago, so I'm a little more on the edge about potholes. Just LOOK at this car killer:
Seriously, if you drive into that with a Mini Cooper, Prius, or Scion, we may never see you again.
Who Has To Repair Parking Lot Potholes?
According to Quora, repairing potholes falls on the back of the business that owns the lot.
Honestly, I think this parking lot is really suffering from just that problem. When you're on the Target side of the lot it's pretty decent. It's also pretty decent on the Albertson's side of the lot. It's the middle that's riddled with car killers. I can see where that would get pretty hairy as to who is responsible for what unless, they put it in the lease agreement.
