I was sick over the weekend, and Monday, so I missed a lot of news.

Like how a group of "patriots" waited outside our county elections office to intimidate the election workers. How they were circling the building, taking pictures of cars and plates all in the name of "patriotism".

Sending people in camo (can I get an eye-roll) with binoculars to the polling station election day, as civilians, not trained election officials, to "monitor the vote" with notepads all in the name of "patriotism".

2022 election

Election "monitors" at Exhibition Hall, Montana Expo Park.

Let's clear this up

Patriotism is: love for or devotion to one's country

Patriotism is NOT:  It is not bullying your fellow citizens out of voting THEIR conscience. It is not bullying your local election workers, who are mostly senior citizens.  It is not storming the capitol.  It is not screaming to hang our Vice President.  It is not re-introducing bills that failed because YOU wanted it.  It is not dressing in military style garb in order to garner attention at the polls or a drop box and make actual patriots fear for their lives while simply casting a vote.  It is not yelling "rigged election" until you find out your candidate won. It is not breaking into a home, or shooting up a baseball field, because they're not a member of your party.

Most of the above is voter intimidation, and a couple could be called attempted murder.

Here's the legal penalty of voter intimidation: Under federal law, it is a felony to intimidate or threaten other persons to discourage them from voting or for assisting others in voting. This crime is punishable by up to five years in prison.

Sure seems like a lot of real legal problems for your grown-up Cosplay.

Who in the actual hell do you people think you are?  It's not enough to run things over and over through the state senate and make us vote on the same things over and over costing the tax-payers millions of hard earned dollars. Now, you want to get straight to the fascism? Do you all even know what fascism means?  Here, I did the 10 second google search for you.

Fascism: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.

Super gross and NOT AT ALL what they had in mind in 1776.

Let's revert back to kindergarten for a minute, shall we? Remember the saying, You get what you get and you don't throw a fit. We need to go back to honoring elections and those that work them. We, as a state, city and as a country, have to get it the hell together or we'll have nothing left.
