The Montana Legislature’s War On The Will Of The People-Opinion-
Montana Lawmakers Sure Think They Know More Than We Do
It's kind of like those Temu or Shein ads, "What I ordered VS What I got."
Since 2020 or so, I've seen the lawmakers we send to Helena try to overturn our will. Again and Again. It's astonishing to me how some people think what they think is the only way, and that deep down, it's what everyone wants.
Today, kids, we talk pot then we talk abortion.
Montana Senate Bill 443 Is Nothing More Than A BACKDOOR REPEAL
Quite frankly, I'm to the point where I will fight you in the street or a parking lot to keep my rights. Listen here, Senator Greg Hertz of Polson, MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS.
In essence, SB 443 just takes away the pot people really want and replaces it with pot they will accept and smoke.
And they SURE don't want to make millionaires out of "pot people".
"How will that look in our neighborhood?", Karen cries, clutching her pearls out of habit.
All SB 443 Does Is Lose Money For The State Of Montana
It won't stop people from buying the 15% THC weed and smoking 2-3 times more. Thing is, why would they do that when there's a guy with home grown at 40%? What does Montana get out of that sale?
I'm afraid our senate has forgotten how long pot was illegal and the same people were smoking it. It won't take long to go back to "the dealer experience". We're used to it.
House Bill 609 Is Step One To Making It Impossible To Get An Abortion In Montana
You can't give these guys a centimeter because they know if they can get the first bill passed, the bills after it will be gravy.
HB 609 deals with "Abortion Trafficking" in Montana. (A state where abortion is legal. Like constitution legal.)
Kerry Seekins-Crow, Billings, introduced the bill that:
"target abortions that occur after the point of viability and are not deemed necessary to preserve the life or health of the pregnant person. Proponents say that type of government regulation is permitted under Constitutional Initiative 128, the abortion rights amendment Montana voters approved in November (2024)."--Montana Free Press
Hey, Karen, I mean Kerry, it's time to mind your own business. And I mean that from the tips of my toes to the tippy top of my head.
They Know They Work For Us, Regular Montanans, Right?
Maybe it's time to remind them. I'm not saying call or write your senators and representatives and remind them of what we want them to do, but I'm not saying NOT TO either.
Just for fun (and power because knowledge IS power) here is the Montana Constitution.
