Who Can Shed New Light on Billings Missing Person Cold Case?
As a parent, one of my most terrifying fears is having one of my kids run away, get abducted, or disappear. Even if my child is a young adult, it would still be absolutely heartbreaking.
Jamie C. Grossman vanished in 2012.
I was reminded of Jamie's disappearance today (3/9) when I scrolled through a post from her father on social media, which shared a few of the details of her disappearance in the winter of 2012. The father's post explained that she was last seen in the Billings area in March of that year (the DOJ info says January 11, 2012, was the date of last contact, so perhaps a bit of a discrepancy on the exact timeline). She had attended a birthday party in Lockwood. The following morning, as other guests at the house woke up, they realized Jamie was gone. She has not been seen since.
Other identifying info on Jamie Grossman.
According to The Charley Project, a non-profit offering "a publicity vehicle for missing people who are often neglected by the press and forgotten all too soon", Jamie's distinguishing features are described as,
Caucasian female. Blonde hair, blue eyes. Grossman may spell her name "Jamee." She wears eyeglasses or contact lenses. Her tongue is pierced twice and her ears are pierced. Grossman has a tattoo of a dragon or fairy on her right calf and a tattoo of the names "Taylee & Kamryn" on the back of her neck. She has mild acne scars on her face and a small brown mole on the right side of her forehead.
She would be 35 years old now. She's 5' 6'' and weighed around 130 pounds in 2012. I did not see Ms. Grossman's file posted on the Yellowstone County Cold Case website, so perhaps it's still considered an active investigation.
Someone somewhere knows something about her disappearance.
Here's the thing... people rarely just disappear without a trace all by themselves. It's not like she was hiking solo in the wilderness somewhere and didn't come back. Somebody has to know something about this case. And people talk. Criminals talk. Abductors talk. Her disappearance is not ancient history either. Eleven years ago was not that long ago. I pray this case gets solved and her family can finally get closure.
