Christmas Stroll Brightens Up Downtown Great Falls For The Season
Last Friday had the return of the annual Christmas Stroll to downtown Great Falls. Despite it being remarkably cold out side we were there as a radio station and so were citizens of great falls for a night of fun, food and general merriment.
We setup with Broke Axe on the intersection of 2nd street and central avenue, throwing axes and playing music.
Even though it was on average of 7 degrees out and about, people still showed up to hang out in our little section of the stroll, many of which threw bullseyes and won sweet prizes in the process.
The streets began to fill up about a half an hour after the Christmas stroll began, I decided to take a walk up and down central. It's been since 2019 since I've been to a Christmas Stroll, so I felt I needed to see what the event had to offer.
It was good to see most of all the stores open and seeing people genuinely having a great time. The two things I enjoyed the most was the warming station that also had a station to make s'mores, and The Polar Plunge.
I had a s'more with a few family members, and then saw people dive into the water and quickly scramble for a towel at the plunge.
The food courts were in full force downtown. I found an awesome blueberry pancake corn dog to munch on while I walked around.
The cold weather didn't matter to some people as I saw some great holiday costumes. It was an all around good time and hope to see you out and about next year.
